Critiques

Ansel adams
When I looked at this picture the first thing I saw was the moon, even though it’s small. The sky being over exposed caused the moon to pop out more then you see it. If you look close at the picture there is a lot of people. It seems as if they were attending a funeral. I think that the mood of the picture is sad because of this. The reason I like this picture is because of the moon. It makes me think of the simplicity of the picture I feel the moon just really ties down the picture. If I could I would hang this picture up on my wall. Why? Because it makes you stop to look at the picture and to really see the details.

Steve McCurry
When I see this picture it makes me feel sad. Her face shows that she has been thorough a lot. Her clothing has holes in them.  The lighting of the photo is well balanced it makes her green eyes the first thing you see. The photographer really showed that the girl is living in a poor area. I would not hang this picture on my wall because I don’t want it as a reminder of the bad things in life.

Baron Wolman
When I see this picture I can see the passion and energy of the man playing the guitar.  From what he is wearing I can tell that the music he is playing is rock. The picture being black and white makes it even more extraordinary. The angle in which the picture is taken really puts your attention on what he is doing. I would not hang this on my wall because it is not my style of photography.

Dorothea Lange
When I look at this picture my first thought is that it is representing the man is a fun person.  The picture being black and white tells that being old you can still have fun.  I wouldn’t hang this picture on my wall, but I would use it as my screen safer for my phone or iPod.
Art Wolfe

What I really like about this picture is it has a leading line.  It makes you carious about what is just around the corner. The bright light coming from the end of the tunnel really ties down the picture. If I had this picture I would hang it up on my wall.  This is because I like how it makes me think about where this picture was taken

Reflection on pictures (critiques)

The biggest difficulty of all was the sun. This was because the sun is constantly moving which made the shaded parts un equally, causing the picture to look more photoshopped. You can notice this more in picture #1. Another difficulty was that picture #2 the camera was moved which caused the background to be uneven. To fix this problem I had to cut right against the object, which helped fix the problem. The same method was used in picture #1 but not as much.
